I’m really enjoying teaching right now. School Girl has taken a few steps forward in writing. She has a eager attitude when it comes to school these days.
Our Bible Story was Abraham and Sarah. We learned about God’s promise to Abraham. We talked about how Abraham and Sarah had to wait a long time to have a baby. Abraham was told that his descendants would outnumber the stars. School Girl colored Abraham and lined up her star stickers neatly in a couple rows.
Our verse was Psalm 37:7 “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” School Girl kept on wanting to say “Rest in the Lord with all your heart.” So we will have to work more on this verse next week which is review.
School Girl completed a letter Hh worksheet and a number 4 worksheet. We also traced the letters in her name and talked about their sounds.
For songs we have been listening to the whole playlist for this year. Both girls enjoy listening to music.
The book of the week was “There’s a Wocket in my Pocket” by Dr. Seuss. We also started reading “Farmer Boy” by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I’ve been looking at online activities to supplement our learning. We’ve used Starfall.com in the past. I’m looking at online subscription sites like ABCmouse.com. I’m trying to decide if it would be better to subscribe to a site or to buy a similar program. I need to find what Mac programs are available for preschoolers.
