Busy Girl enjoyed her first week of school. The Bible story was Noah’s Ark. I read it out of the Beginner’s Bible. Busy Girl colored the A-Animal coloring page with Noah’s Ark on it. I gave her a few animal stickers for her to add. I sang our song of the week, The B-I-B-L-E. Instead of memory verses this curriculum has a verse to pray over our children. This week’s verse was Romans 10:9-10 (NIV) – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
The poem of the week was Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Busy Girl loves it when I sing.
The color of the week was black so we used a black crayon to color one of the train cars in the color train printable. The shape of the week was a circle. I cut out a black circle and had Busy Girl “paint” it with water. School Girl joined her little sister for this activity.
The animal of the week was raccoon. Busy Girl colored the raccoon printable with a black crayon.
We played peek-a-boo, talked about where her head was and worked on waving goodbye.
I haven’t decide whether I want to do separate posts each week for the girls schooling or combine it.
