Our Bible story this week was Joseph’s Colorful Coat. We had a lot of fun with this one. Toddler Girl painted the Joseph’s Coat printable with a bunch of colors. I cut it out and glued it to a paper, writing the verse of the week across the bottom. The verse of the week was Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” We also started working on coloring a white T-shirt (adult sized) with colored permanent markers. I’ll be turning it into a coat by cutting a strip out of the front of the shirt from top to bottom. The strip will become a belt to tie the coat closed.
Our song was I’m in the Lord’s Army. I remember this one from my own childhood. The poem was Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. We found a youtube of the poem to watch.
The book of the week was Go Dog. Go! I read this so many times this week. Toddler Girl loved it so much that I kept on reading it to her. We also found a DVD at our library that had this book and a few others on it. That was fun to watch. We made the dog puppet. Toddler Girl loved when I used the dog puppet to read the book to her. I would never have guessed that it would be so fun for little kids.
The letter of the week was C. Toddler Girl is finally pronouncing the sound correctly. She still says the T sound if it’s in a word. She says tar instead of car for example. We traced the letter and did the C starfall activity online.
We practiced counting to five using the ducks from week one.
