Our Bible story for this week was Jesus and the Children. We read this from Toddler Girl’s storybook. The verse for the week was Genesis 1:1. We worked on the verse some. I like the repetition with the Bible verses. It helps to keep coming back to them. I didn’t recognize the song for the week. It’s supposed to be on the CD that I bought but it isn’t so we just worked on the poem God Made Me.
The book of the week was one we own, Put Me In The Zoo. We talked about how God made us each unique.
The next part of Thank you, God, for making me project consisted of inking Toddler Girls fingers and decorating a piece of paper with her fingerprints. I’m going to print a picture of her and glue it in the middle.
The colors of the week were yellow, orange and green. The shape of the week was a triangle. Toddler girl colored the back of a small triangle (reused) with the colors of the week. Then we made play dough snakes and placed them on the sides of a large triangle. We talked about the three colors for the three sides of a triangle.
For the fine motor skill we played with water and cups. For the gross motor skill I taped ribbon to a stick and Toddler Girl now has a toy to wave around and dance with.
Week 14 Review
Toddler Girl colored the title page for the Thank you, God, for making me book.
We did the gross motor skill (tossing a small soft toy).
We went to story time at the library and then colored a couple pages when we got home.
Toddler Girl decorated the Ii poster with insect stickers. She decorated the Jj poster with jellybean stickers. For the Kk poster she put kitten, kite and kangaroo stickers on it.
